Berkeley Public Library Gets New DirectorThe Berkeley (Calif.) Board of Library Trustees named Donna Corbeil director of library services at the Berkeley Public Library December 6. Corbeil is currently deputy director of Solano County (Calif.) Library. She will start at Berkeley January 8 at an annual salary of $143,000. The former director, Jackie Griffin, resigned in June in the midst of controversy over the installation of RFID devices and complaints about managerial style. Posted December 8, 2006. |
