Citizen support for libraries received a big boost on February 1, 2009. This marks the date when Friends of Libraries U.S.A. (FOLUSA) and the Association for Library Trustees and Advocates (ALTA) joined forces to become an expanded division of ALA. The new organization will be called the Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations, or ALTAFF for short.
The ALTAFF website is currently under construction. Please bear with us as we combine the ALTA and FOLUSA websites and add new content to serve you better. ALTAFF members and affiliates may access the Friends Zone on the FOLUSA website at www.folusa.org (email tcromarty@ala.org if you need a login). The Trustee Zone is currently under development and should be available soon.
