FAFLRT Social Networking Tools
The Federal and Armed Forces Libraries Round Table is experimenting with several social networking tools to help its members bettter connect with each other. Here are a couple that we're currently working with:
Careers in Federal Libraries Google Group
The Federal and Armed Forces Libraries Round Table (FAFLRT) has created a collaboration site on Google Groups to support the activities of the Careers in Federal Libraries committee. Membership is free and open to all and this site is planned to host the liaison network between federal librarians and library schools as well as a collaboratively enhanced set of teaching materials for promoting a career in federal librarianship.
FAFLRT President's Blog - coming soon!
The Federal and Armed Forces Libraries Round Table (FAFLRT) has created an official blog to assist with direct communication from the FAFLRT President to the membership through regular article posts on relevant topics to the round table. This will be part of the ReadWriteConnect list of official ALA blogs.
FAFLRT Discussion List - join now!
The Federal and Armed Forces Libraries Round Table (FAFLRT) has an e-mail based discussion list to be used by the committee to work on on-going agenda items, to alert members of upcoming events, or to quickly notify members of pending legislation and changes that would affect the Federal and Armed Forces Libraries.
